ANHB passed a resolution suporting the Della Keats Program. The Della Keats program is a 4-week camp that the University of Alaska provides, named after an Alaska Native Inupiaq traditional healer from the Kotzebue region. Della Keats provided educational and medical services to her people throughout her life and believed strongly in the importance of expanding, maintaining, and sharing medical knowledge in ways that would benefit both Alaska Native people and the broader Alaskan community.

HHS, working jointly with Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA, today announced a fourth temporary extension of telemedicine flexibilities that allow patients to receive prescriptions for controlled medications without a prior in-person visit.

This action ensures that patients who rely on telemedicine — including seniors, rural residents, people with disabilities, and individuals receiving treatment for mental health conditions or substance use disorder — can continue accessing care without interruption.
