Alaska National Guard Child and Youth Program AKNG-Teen Council Mission Statement:
We support National Guard YOUTH to become leaders for the future!

The Child and Youth Program works to empower youth and families of the
Alaska National Guard through training and community support throughout
the state of Alaska! The Alaska National Guard Child & Youth Program is
made up of two staff with support from many adult and youth volunteers! The two staff are the Lead Child & Youth Program Coordinator and (non-lead)

. We coordinate with military and civilian
community agencies to gain support for youth training; ensure resource
information is available for families and service providers; collaborate to
offer summer camps; educate community members about the impact the
deployment cycle has on children and families; participate in military and
non-military meetings and functions to benefit our military youth; help develop
training opportunities that empower teens of the military to thrive and excel
