Terry John Cosgriff, 66, of Anchorage, Alaska passed away on July 22, 2021. Terry was born in Windom, MN on April 19, 1955, to Bernard and Lorraine Cosgriff; and was raised in Bingham Lake, MN.

Terry graduated from Windom Area High School, served 6 years in the United States Navy, and moved to Alaska with Colleen Ardis Krahn shortly after. He married Colleen on April 10, 1982, in Windom, MN and lived the remainder of his years with Colleen and his family in Anchorage, AK.

Terry was always fond of his time as a youth growing up in smalltown Minnesota. He loved spending time outdoors with others, frequently camping and fishing with his family or keeping up on sports. He found joy in always helping his sons and other youth grow into men as he dedicated over 15 years being the Scoutmaster of the local Boy Scouts Troop 214. He owned and operated Alaska Painting Service, serving both rural Alaska and urban locations for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Ardis (Krahn) Cosgriff; three sons, Benjamin Vincent Cosgriff, Joseph Wesley Cosgriff, and Lucas James Cosgriff; and five grandchildren, Darius Christian Cosgriff, Brynn Elena Schott, Devyn Anne Clark, Dean Wesley Cosgriff, and Quinn Marx Cosgriff.

The Memorial Service for Terry will be at St. John United Methodist Church, 1801 O’Malley Rd Anchorage, AK 99507 on Saturday September 11th at 2:00 PM. Doors will open with a photo presentation beginning at 1:30 PM. Weblink for live stream of the memorial is available at https://stjohnanchorage.org/worship via YouTube.

Terry’s family requests those wishing to send flowers or other condolence items donate to Hospice of Anchorage or other charity that helps those in need.
