Thanks to families that attended the Youth Open House for the MCPO Jerry Harrington Division! It was wonderful meeting so many families and learning about your future cadet's goals!

Attendees met with Unit Leadership; CO Gilbert, MIDN Carter, INST Busick, and our National Area Commander of U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, CAPT Jones, USN (Ret) who traveled from the East Coast. It's a long trek to Alaska! Thank you for joining us!

The Local Council #151 organized the commission ceremony for the USS Anchorage (LPD 23) May 4th, 2013 at the Port of Alaska. They also contribute to the local JROTC programs in Anchorage School District. They also are to thank for the amazing Sea Services Memorial at the Small Boat Harbor in Anchorage!

The Navy League of the United States, founded in 1902 with President Theodore Roosevelt's support, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to supporting U.S. Sea Services—the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine. It advocates for a strong maritime defense, supports personnel morale through local councils, and educates the public and Congress on maritime importance.
