Grief in the Body is a gentle, educational gathering that explores how emotions are carried in our physical selves — the tightness, heaviness, numbness, or restlessness that can accompany loss — and how somatic awareness helps us soften, release, and move through those sensations with care. It’s an invitation to understand grief not just as a feeling, but as a lived experience in the body, and to learn supportive practices for meeting it with compassion. No cost to attend.

Our next open grief group is beginning tomorrow on Tuesday, August 11th from 6:30-7:30PM. This gathering offers a gentle space to pause, breathe, and connect with others who are navigating loss in its many forms. Whether your grief is recent or long‑carried, you don’t have to move through it alone.

Each step honors a story.

Join us with Providence Alaska Children's Hospital Bereavement Council as we come together to remember the precious lives lost during pregnancy, infancy, and childhood. This walk offers a supportive space for families, friends, and our community to gather in love, remembrance, and hope.

If you would like your child's name spoken during the service, send to [email protected] by August 7th. You may include a brief message or remembrance, which will be read aloud during the service.
