Ever wish you could magically convert your local crab apple trees into something tastier? Well now you can! Join the GROW Program on Monday June 8 for a free apple top-grafting workshop, where you will learn how to graft select apple varieties onto the branches of adult crab apple trees! Yael Hickok of Boyer's Orchard will be sharing her expertise, and you will get the opportunity to practice on real trees! The workshop will be taking place at Safe Harbor Muldoon from 6-8pm. If you would like to join us, please RSVP using this google form:

It was such a pleasure to collaborate with Bread Line on this apple grafting workshop! Best of luck to the baby trees as they settle into their new Fairbanks homes!

We had such a GREAT time, last week, learning how to graft apple trees with our friends Yael & Iva from Rural Alaska Community Action Program, along with Noah Emerson, Peter Miller & local expert Steve Masterman!

There was a wonderful turn out of very engaged participants who all got to take home their freshly grafted trees. You can't learn on a hungry belly so dinner was prepared by Chef Liann (with her *amazing* potato soups - both vegan variety & meat options) & Chef Pena.

They say that the second best time to plant a tree is today & these babies will get in the ground soon. Good luck, little apple trees & thank you to EVERYONE who made this workshop such a success.
