Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, as Anchorage East Rotary member Jessie Lavoie takes us on A Trip Through Literature: From Required Reading to Banned Book.

From early efforts to restrict books to more recent challenges, literature has long sparked debate, pushed boundaries and challenged societal norms. And no genre is off limits, with titles ranging from Goodnight Moon to the Bible appearing on banned or challenged book lists.

Jessie will explore what books are being banned or challenged, where it’s happening, the reasons behind those decisions and how book banning has evolved over time.
