What a GREAT 2026 State FFA Convention! Here are a few highlights from last week!
The FFA officer team applied for our National Chapter Award a couple of months ago. The National Chapter Award highlights some of the amazing opportunities and activities that Anamosa FFA has done for the 2025 school year. Anamosa FFA recived a SILVER rating!
Zoey Sarsfield accepted her Iowa FFA Degree, which is the highest award the state association can bestow upon a member.
Connor Meader and Ingrid Vaughn were recognized on stage for their 1ST PLACE agriscience fair project in the Food Products and Processing Division 6.
The chapter activity exhibit team received a GOLD rating. The team was made up of the following members; Audrey Fort, Grace McWherter, Kylie Clark, and Annikah Riedesel.
Kennedy Thompson, Zoey Sarsfield, Ingrid Vaghn, and Connor Meader received 10th Place and a GOLD rating for Poultry Judging. Ingrid Vaughn was 11th out of over 350 students as well!
The Farm Business Management team, Connor Paulsen, Wyatt Stumma, Wyatt Fort, and Ike Wendt, received a SILVER rating and was the 1st place team for the team activity portion of the competition!
Knowledge quiz participants Nichelle Kirby, Owen Bousselot, Jenna Plymesser, and Brylee LaDue received three GOLDS and one SILVER rating.
Morgan Heims, Alayna Isenhart, Bentley Miner, Brooke Heying, Avery Harre, and Sam Stickley served as Courtesy Corp members, helping out with the convention throughout the week.
Carlee Kirk and Quinn Ruess got to hear from the 2026-2027 state officer candidates and choose our leadership team for next year.
Sophie Houston opened the third general session with a Massing of the Flags ceremony.
Connor Meader was a part of the 2026 FFA State Chorus.
Students got to embark on several career tours, sit through leadership sessions aimed at build their skills, and talk to several businesses and colleges at the career/college fair, package meals for meals from the heatland, and much more! Everyone who attended had a blast!
