This one hits close to home. 🤍
We’ve been following sweet Theo’s journey, and it feels painfully familiar. Theo was born premature at Woman’s Hospital of Texas, transferred to TCH, and then on to CHOP — carrying the same hope we once held for Myles. The hope that this place, these specialists, could fix what no one else could.
Theo has lymphatic issues like our Myles did. We were once in the process of trying to get a CHOP provider to come assess Myles because he was never stable enough for transfer. We never made it that far. So this baby, and especially his momma, hit different. Deeply.
Theo’s parents made the unimaginable decision to stop treatment and return to Texas so their family can say goodbye. And even now — when time matters most — there have been delays. Flights canceled. Mechanical issues. Weather concerns. Crew availability. All the things we’ve learned can stand in the way when you need one thing to go right.
As of this morning, the transport is now scheduled for 7:30am tomorrow, pending flight crew and aircraft availability out of Cleveland. Dad’s flight already left earlier this week because that was the original transfer plan — and now they wait. Again.
Theo is stable for now, but his heart rate is elevated, his blood pressures are lower, and his body is tired. His parents are exhausted. Emotionally, physically, spiritually. And they are just trying to get back to Texas in time — to be surrounded by family, love, and peace.
If you pray, please pray hard.
Pray for clear skies.
Pray for a crew, a plane, and no more delays.
Pray for Theo’s comfort.
Pray for his parents’ strength.
Pray that they make it home before time runs out.
We know too well how helpless this waiting feels. How cruel the clock can be. How heavy hope becomes when it keeps slipping through your fingers.
Theo, sweet boy — you are so loved. And your family is not walking this road alone. 🤍
