Yesterday, Northern California DECA mourns the loss of Stephen Rogers, a longtime advisor, teacher, mentor, and beloved member of our DECA community.
Mr. Rogers served as an advisor for Mt. Whitney DECA and Golden West DECA, dedicating years of his life to his students and to DECA. He helped shape the experiences of countless students and was a mentor and friend to many within our DECA family. He played a huge role for NorCal DECA for many years, even arranging seating charts for closing ceremony banquets.
His kindness, dedication, and passion for students will not be forgotten. The legacy he built will continue through every student, advisor, and DECA member he inspired.
“If you can’t go through the front door , use the side door, and if you can’t go through the side door use the back door.” - Stephen Rogers
Our deepest condolences go out to his wife, family, friends, students, and the entire Mt. Whitney DECA and Golden West DECA community during this difficult time.
Thank you for everything, Mr. Rogers. Your legacy lives on. 🕊️
