🌱 Turning Vision Into Action for Food Access in Irvine 🌱
Betty Martinez Franco, Councilwoman for District 5, is leading an important effort to better support vulnerable residents across the City of Irvine. Her vision is simple and powerful: make nutritious food available to those who need it—and make it easy to access.
We proudly share that vision and are excited to announce that the City of Irvine has awarded a grant and launched a pilot project in partnership with Tree of New America and our Community Food Support Coalition, OC partners, Mary’s Kitchen and Seeking Him Outreach.
This collaboration represents what’s possible when city leadership and community-based organizations work together to expand food access, support mental health and wellness through nutrition, and meet people where they are.

“2026 promises to be the year we truly deepen our impact in the communities we serve—working side by side with our city partners.”
— Harold Arscott, Founding Father, Tree of New America
We’re grateful for this opportunity and energized by what lies ahead as we continue building a healthier, more connected Irvine—together.
