FLASHBACK FRIDAY: WHERE IT ALL BEGAN!

2017 — My very first year hosting Thrill the World Orange County!

Looking at this picture brings back so many emotions. I was absolutely terrified! I didn't even know the entire Thriller dance, and I was wondering how I was going to pull this off.

Then, at the last minute, a group of Jazzercise participants and two professional dancers joined us. I am so grateful for all who participated.

It was such an emotional day for me. What started as something scary and uncertain became a memory I will never forget. That first year taught me that sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith, trust the people who show up, and let something bigger than yourself happen.

Now, here we are, years later, still bringing people together through Michael Jackson's Thriller and raising funds for Project Hope Alliance, helping end the cycle of homelessness one child at a time. ❤️

I never could have imagined where that first year would lead!

🧟‍♂️ And now it's time to THRILL AGAIN!

🕒 Global Thriller dance at 3:00 PM

From that first nervous year to everything we've built together, I'm so grateful for every dancer, every volunteer, and all my PYT Zombies who have been part of this journey.

This is more than a dance. It's a community, a mission, and a whole lot of heart. ❤

❤️ MICHAEL MONDAY: A LEGACY OF COMPASSION ❤️

👑 Michael Jackson was more than the King of Pop. He was a humanitarian who believed in helping others, caring for children, and making the world a better place.

Through his music, charitable contributions, and support for humanitarian causes, Michael used his platform to bring attention to people in need. His song “We Are the World” helped raise awareness and funds for people facing famine in Africa, and his song “Heal the World” carried a message of compassion, peace, and hope for children everywhere. 🌎❤️

His legacy reminds us that making a difference doesn't always require fame or fortune. Sometimes, it starts with a community coming together for a cause that matters.

At Thrill the World Orange County, we're carrying that spirit forward by dancing Michael's iconic Thriller while raising funds for Project Hope Alliance, working to end the cycle of homelessness one child at a time.

Getting ready for Thriller? Here are a few simple zombie makeup tips to help you get that creepy undead look!

🖤 Go darker than you normally would!
Use dark eyeshadow around the eyes to create a tired, sunken look.

🩶 Add some gray or white.
A little pale makeup can make your skin look more “undead.”

🩸 Don’t forget the blood!
A little fake blood around the mouth, nose, or a wound can really finish the look.

🕷️ Messy is better!
Your zombie makeup doesn't need to be perfect. Smudges, uneven shading, and messy details make it look more realistic!

💀 Have fun with it!
There’s no ONE right way to look like a Thriller zombie. Get creative and make it your own!
