Wow! What a week, huh? TGIF! You may think that stands for Thank God it's Friday, (which it kind of is) - but for me, it's TGIF "To Go in Fundraising" mode.... so here I am again, outside, no pumpkin latte in hand but a white donation box for DMC. (HINT-HINT) ... DONATE NOW: 🤑💸💲 💰https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=ZGDDYL7MLHKHN

You know what to do. No, you don't have to bring me coffee, but you can help me with my muscle building - because the heavier this box gets, I can build biceps, and more! 🤣

We are truly grateful for whatever you can donate for our 49th Anniversary. And guess what? By donating early, you get 2 chances to have your name submitted into our prize wheel spin this year. We have amazing sponsors we are grateful for, just as we are thankful for YOU.

We appreciate your support: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=ZGDDYL7MLHKHN

Have a great weekend!

Do you have at least three years experience working with youth with disabilities?

DMC is actively looking to hire a Youth Community Liaison who has grace under pressure, the ability to handle an active caseload of 20 Youth Connect consumers and who has strong written, interpersonal, verbal and social skills.

Passion for our community is essential as someone who is interested in shaping positive outcomes, encouraging youth to strive toward independence with self-advocacy and independent living skills.

We are looking for someone with the ability to be detail oriented, take initiative with the ability to do outreach so we can grow/build our youth program and community relationships which includes a strong network of academic/educational administrators, parents, and career partners, volunteers and more.

It's a to the new beginnings we started creating earlier this summer continuing our outreach. Brittany Zazueta, DMC’s Executive Director and Nelly Gomez, Lead Youth and Information Coordinator spearheaded the important topic of Building Inclusive Practices — Disability Acceptance and Access Strategies.

Being an important part of DMC's own education and outreach goals with our entire community and being in partnership with CalOptima - Brittany and Nelly not only recognized the importance to be a part of their Culture and Health presentation series, but to also share lenses that only DMC can as a peer-led organization.

DMC’s presentation for Cal-Optima was just the beginning of creating new beginnings with agency partners. Our on-going DMC Fee For Service Disability Acceptance and Etiquette Training which is customizable improves relating comprehension through all of the layers of intersectionality, communication, and action where it matters for all government and healthcare agencies and facilities, caregiver, skilled nursing, as well as educational institutions who shape the next generation of health care workers and attendants.

We love being able to share information, knowledge and continue on this path as we celebrate 49 years. If you are interested in learning disability etiquette from DMC, we invite you to check out our flyer:https://daylemc.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DMC-Learn-FFS-Flyer-5.13.25.pdf

Crunch, munch - something yummy for the whole bunch. Can't decide on peanut brittle or Toffee-ettes? We can't blame you - Why not get both and tuck pieces in your lunch?!

The peanut brittle is better than any kind you've had before. Made with Mary See's original recipe, this peanut brittle is packed with more peanuts per square inch than any other. Featuring the highest quality ingredients, each bite is loaded with buttery, crunchy, nutty goodness.

Toffee is a holiday favorite - but what makes this toffee special is it is SO good you won't want to share. Little nuggets of rich butter toffee and roasted almonds smothered in See's creamy milk chocolate...topped off with even more crunchy almonds is so tasty! You'll love it so much, even the Grinchiest person will want to share and See's makes it easy! Unlike traditional toffee - you don't have to break apart a huge slab - The bite-sized pieces are fun and addicting.

Start thinking about something nice to give whomever is hosting Thanksgiving or other holiday dinners or parties this year as this is the ULTIMATE THANK YOU GIFT. for anyone you're wanting to appreciate for their hospitality.

Share this lovely tin when you have unexpected holiday visitors or want to thank a house, plant or pet sitter for helping you during vacation or anyone who truly deserves this - even if that is YOU!

CLICK on the front orange banner of our DMC website or simply scan the QR code on the image. Your every purchase helps us support our community of people with disabilities, older adults and Veterans.

We appreciate you shopping with us! Candy ships starting NOVEMBER 10TH! Get your orders in before the DMC See's store closes at midnight on December 4th.

Time. As DMC celebrates its 49th anniversary, we honor just how precious TIME can be. Time is commitment. And when it comes to service - there is no better feeling than knowing the time you spent was worthwhile in changing lives by doing meaningful work. For 49 years - DMC has always understood our community of people with disabilities and older adults is always going to need caregivers and that as the clock ticks, years go by, not only do we all age, but we're also more conscious about how caring for others MATTERS!

DMC is actively looking for caregivers who are seeking an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

We are actively recruiting now for caregivers. Do you know someone who is looking to be a caregiver or has been one and is looking for work who is a caring individual?

You can make a difference in the life of an individual today! Dignity, respect, demonstrating support and helpfulness. If you possess these qualities you sound like you might be a perfect candidate to be a caregiver.

In-home support is key to have independence, access, and simple needs met through care giving, housekeeping or daily activities.
