Our Sweet and Sassy CHO taught us all some of life’s most important lessons:) Even on her hardest days, she could see hope and spread it effortlessly! She loved to randomly go up to strangers at a Disney park and give them one of her precious pins from her vast collection! If someone came over to our house with their “littles”, she would immediately ask who their favorite characters were and would go find them a pin to take home:) Over the years, she also gave out a ton of Disney pins to her doctors, nurses and other medical staff whom she adored. She always had a story and a “why” that she picked that particular pin❤️ She would be all about our current HOPE Project of doing just that in her honor! Hoping to feel some of her pixie dust from heaven as we begin:)

It has now been 4 months without our sweet and sassy Cho running the show around here and while it hasn’t gotten any easier with time, we are grateful to still have the HOPE that she fiercely believed in. Today we received a shipping label in the mail to donate her airway clearance system vest to an organization that supports patients with cystic fibrosis around the world! It is the last of her major medical supplies to be donated. An Orange County surgeon who does Medical Mission Trips received many of her IV fluids and medications and said he could do many needed operations overseas with the amount he was given from our girl. Her multitude of non-perishable medical supplies were donated directly to her beloved Well Shell at the Painted Turtle Medical Camp to help other kids have what they need while attending her favorite camp activities! Her wheelchairs were also donated to families with kids who can use them in our area. Her blue power chair which took our hope-filled, road tripping explorer all over the country… went to a young medical warrior much like our girl:) We knew it would get some good use and just found out that they recently were able to travel to Walt Disney World with Sam’s chair:) When we received a picture of this earlier today, we all cried big Hope-filled tears:) THIS is what it is all about. HOPE is everywhere and can be anything you want it to be as Sami always said! We believe it is a strong message to remind us all to HOPE ON every single day despite the challenges you may face:) ❤️

So much HOPE in this assignment. While other kids designed their shoe and wrote about sport teams, figures or celebrities, the most precious girl we know, who also loved our sweet and sassy Cho like a big sister, chose to write about her own hero: CHOC. A place that gave her more time, more memories and more roadtrips with her older “bestie”. Long live Childhood and all it stands for! CHOC Foundation

Thank You Cards went out this weekend and we realized that there may have been a few people who did not receive theirs due to email issues, so wanted to share it here as well. This picture of Sam brings us all some HOPE to remember how excited she was to find a Bacon Christmas Stocking a few years ago on one of our road-trip adventures. We are beyond grateful and humbled by all of you and the incredible amount of donations that came in for the foundation in her honor. We are committed to carry on her HOPE legacy as best we can despite the forever ache in our broken hearts.

Our beautiful Chief Hope Officer, sweet and sassy Sam walked into the arms of Jesus this morning completely surrounded by SO much love and pure authentic Hope. Our hearts are shattered💔Our life here on earth may never be the same, but the HOPE that this girl stood for will forever fuel us and for that we are eternally grateful. It has been an honor to work alongside her and we will do our best to continue to spread the HOPE she so passionately believed in! Happy Happy Birthday week to the heart and HOPE that fuels us forward no matter what the circumstance. We are forever changed for the better because of our sweet and sassy Chief Hope Officer. She had a vision for our little non profit foundation at the young age of just 10 years old and we continue to feel so honored to be a part of her HOPE-filled mission. Happy 23rd birthday Sassy Sam!

So humbled, hopeful, grateful and inspired by Choc Walk 2025:) There is nothing like being a part of thousands of people who come together before 5am to walk the parks for Choc Children’s Hospital! THANK YOU to all of you out there who graciously donated to help us surpass our fundraising goal this year! It is such an honor to give back to the place and people that have helped us raise our chronically, critical girl thrive for the past 23 years! ❤️And to our TEAM SWEET AND SASSY SAM-you make us so very proud!!
