The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) originally began as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded in 1953 by 16 women working in the construction industry. Knowing that women represented only a small fraction of the construction industry, the founders organized NAWIC to create a support network. Women in Construction of Fort Worth was so successful that it ga

ined its national charter in 1955 and became the National Association of Women in Construction. NAWIC has a diverse membership and more than 150 chapters, with chapters in almost every U.S. Since 1996, NAWIC has seen its Core Purpose grow worldwide and has International Affiliation Agreements with the Canadian Association of Women in Construction, NAWIC-Australia, NAWIC-New Zealand, NAWIC-United Kingdom and South African Women in Construction. In NAWIC’s 58 years of service to its membership, the Association has advanced the causes of all women in construction, from tradeswomen to business owners. Lindsey is the President and CEO of Daley Construction, Inc., a women-owned, family-run general contracting company serving Orange and Los Angeles County. With 15+ years in construction, she oversees project management, operations, compliance, and business development, with a focus on building strong client relationships and delivering every project with quality, integrity, and precision.

Daley Construction specializes in custom fabrication for concrete and building projects, concrete work, tenant improvements, residential remodels, and commercial build-outs. Their team takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and code-compliant work built to stand the test of time.

A fun fact about Lindsey? She co-founded Daley Construction with her husband, Joshua, and together they have grown it into a trusted, family-run company rooted in quality and community.
