NAWIC Orange County's purpose is to strengthen and amplify the success of women in construction. state. NAWIC Core Values: Believe. Persevere. Dare.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) originally began as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded in 1953 by 16 women working in the construction industry. Knowing that women represented only a small fraction of the construction industry, the founders organized NAWIC to create a support network. Women in Construction of Fort Worth was so successful that it ga

ined its national charter in 1955 and became the National Association of Women in Construction. NAWIC has a diverse membership and more than 150 chapters, with chapters in almost every U.S. Since 1996, NAWIC has seen its Core Purpose grow worldwide and has International Affiliation Agreements with the Canadian Association of Women in Construction, NAWIC-Australia, NAWIC-New Zealand, NAWIC-United Kingdom and South African Women in Construction. In NAWIC’s 58 years of service to its membership, the Association has advanced the causes of all women in construction, from tradeswomen to business owners. Last month, we welcomed students to Camp NAWIC 2026 for a day of hands on learning, career exploration, and a closer look at the many opportunities a future in construction can offer. 👷‍♀️🛠️

NAWIC Orange County is preparing for an exciting 2026 to 2027 chapter year! 🧡

Our planning meeting brought together our board and chapter members to discuss upcoming programs, events, member experiences, and new ways to serve women in construction throughout Orange County.

We are excited for what is ahead and look forward to another year of connection, professional growth, community involvement, and memorable chapter moments.

We invite our members and community to join us as we serve supper, share smiles, and support families on their journey toward self-sufficiency.
