Sometimes, the best way to support someone is to ask what they need.

We don’t always know exactly what someone is going through, and we don’t have to have all the answers. We can start by listening, asking questions, and letting them tell us what would feel helpful.

Try asking:

“What kind of support would feel helpful right now?”

A simple question can open the door to a meaningful conversation and remind someone that they don’t have to navigate a difficult moment alone.

Sometimes, finding hope starts with simply knowing where to turn.

This Hope Story is a beautiful reminder of how one connection can lead to support, understanding, and ultimately, hope.

We’re incredibly grateful to those who are willing to share their stories and remind others that asking for help is a sign of strength - and that there are people ready to listen.

Thank you for sharing your story and for allowing With Hope to be part of your journey. 💙

A little hope can go a long way. 💛

This September, we’re grateful to have a $20,000 donor match to help us make an even greater impact during National Su***de Prevention Month.

That means every dollar you give can be doubled, up to $20,000 thanks to the generosity of the Walter Family Foundation and an anonymous donor. Your donation helps support su***de prevention, mental health awareness, education, and grief support in our community.

Let’s make this month count. Together, we can turn generosity into hope and help make sure no one feels alone.

💛 Donate today through the link in our bio and help us reach the full $20,000 match!

Let’s talk about one of the biggest myths surrounding su***de prevention.

MYTH: Talking about su***de will put the idea in someone’s head.
FACT: Open, honest conversations can create connection and give someone the opportunity to share what they’re experiencing.

You don’t need to have all the right words. Sometimes, simply asking can be the first step:

“How are you really doing?”

And then take the time to listen. You never know how much it might mean to someone.

💛 Volunteer Spotlight: Kim B.| Community Outreach

Kim was first introduced to With Hope after the sudden loss of her Godson to su***de. Through a friend, she was connected with Annette, our Founder, and immediately found someone who could guide her and her family through the loss they were navigating.

Today, Kim gives her time to With Hope through community outreach and her personal experience has given her an even deeper understanding of just how vital this work is.

I have done a lot of outreach over the years for various causes, but when I represent With Hope, there is never a day that I don't come into contact with someone who has been touched by su***de and wants to talk and share.”

Kim believes su***de was once a topic people were afraid to talk about, but today, more people understand the importance of having resources, support, and open conversations available.

“We are needed.”

And whether you volunteer through community outreach, support our programs, or give your time in another way, your involvement with With Hope matters. You never know whose life you may touch simply by showing up.

Thank you, Kim, for sharing your story, giving your time, and helping bring hope into our community. 💙

💛 September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

For the next 30 days, we’re starting 30 conversations that have the power to make a life-saving difference.

Some conversations may feel easy. Others may feel uncomfortable. Every conversation creates an opportunity to listen, connect, check in, and remind someone that they are not alone.

Throughout this month, we’ll be sharing 30 simple conversations you can have with the people in your life - because sometimes, one conversation can change everything.

Let’s make September a month of connection, compassion, and hope. 💙

Follow along, start a conversation, and help us spread hope.

Grief doesn’t pause the world around you.

The days keep moving. Work continues. Plans are made. Life goes on, even when your heart feels like it has been changed forever.

If you’re grieving, you don’t have to navigate that experience alone. There is space for your grief, your memories, and everything you’re feeling along the way. 💛

With Hope Foundation offers grief support for those who have lost a loved one to su***de through our Friends With Hope Su***de Bereavement Support Group.
