Bengali Association of Southern California (BASC) is a US non-profit organization (Tax ID 95-3568482) dedicated to nurturing and promoting Bengali and Indian culture among Southern California residents. BASC runs two Bengali schools - Pathbhaban in San Fernando Valley area and Pathsala in Irvine area. BASC publishes a periodic e-newsletter, Sambad Bichitra; and two literary magazines - Kheya for g

rown-ups and Ankur for the children. BASC also organizes many cultural, social, philanthropic and religious events throughtout the year.

Cricket is finally coming to LA!

For the first time ever, professional Major League Cricket games are happening right here in Los Angeles, and our Los Angeles Knight Riders are playing at home in Fairplex, Pomona.

We’ve put together a special Friends & Family ticket package for all 3 home games:

IDYA in collaboration with CRY America presents the best of Odissi along with classical music and percussion. All the performers are globally recognized including performances during the Academy Awards, The White House and at Disney.

Sharanya has performed in the highest platforms including the White House and received awards and accolades of the highest orders, including the prestigious Princess Grace Fellowship.

The Barman brothers are exciting new faces in Indian classical music with many international performances and accolades. And of course Rohan Ramanan has graced the BASC stage before as a performer.

What a truly beautiful celebration of culture, love, community, tradition, and togetherness at BASC Borsho-Boron 2026! ❤️💛✨

From the scintillating drama performance, mesmerizing musical presentations, soulful songs, energetic dances, to the electrifying performance by 8B The Band — the entire day was filled with joy, culture, entertainment, and unforgettable memories. And to top it all, Anandamela turned out to be an absolute super hit, bringing together amazing food, laughter, and the true spirit of our community! 🎭🎶🥁✨🍲

These pictures beautifully capture the energy, emotions, colors, smiles, and success of the event — a day that will remain special for all of us for a long time.
