Kingdom Causes inc. We bring non-profits and funders together, through common causes, to build healthy and sustainable communities for future generations. Kingdom Causes Inc.

(KCI) exists to help people work together well for social good so that significantly better results are achieved and resources are well spent. We aspire to be a catalyst that inspires, connects, and mobilizes people towards community transformation by reducing complexity, avoiding competition, and eliminating redundancy. We hope to create space for local ministries to flourish, maximize impact and ultimately create lasting positive change, together! We believe in the visions of our funders and partners and want you to be part of the experience. We operate on the premise that is change necessary for the betterment of our world. You can be part of the process. Call it a sandbox or a toolbox, we want to roll up our sleeves and walk with you through the philanthropy experience. Charity Tax ID: 57-1162424

The Fellowship Program, of the KCI SB Catalytic project, works to develop collaborative protection for vulnerable children and youth.

This September, with the help of Interfaith Collaborative, the Fellows brought the Noah’s Anchorage staff handwritten thank you notes, gift cards, and festive fall decorations to encourage their commitment to serving our community!

There’s so much we can learn from those doing the work alongside us.

Our five Student Fellows from the Santa Barbara Catalytic Project recently visited the Ventura County Family Justice Center VC Family Justice Center to learn more about their work, hear from those serving in the field, and gain new perspectives they can carry into their own work and communities.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these that remind us that learning doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens through listening, asking questions, and learning from one another.

Last week, two of our interns and one Fellow from our student programs, part of the Santa Barbara Catalytic Project (a program of Kingdom Causes Inc.), stood before the Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors to advocate for the Youth Resilience Initiative.

Their voices, their conviction, their commitment to Santa Barbara’s youth — this is exactly why the Catalytic Program exists.

Today, Kevin Adler and Donald Burnes' companion workbook for When We Walk By hits shelves — and Day 4 features the work of our Santa Barbara Catalytic Project.

The section is titled “Relational Poverty” — the same phrase that first gave language to what our team witnesses every day walking alongside neighbors experiencing homelessness in Santa Barbara.

We're honored to be part of this 30-day journey toward seeing people, not problems.

The Santa Barbara Independent cover story on human trafficking highlighted a gap many of us already knew about: local efforts to protect vulnerable youth have often been fragmented, without enough shared infrastructure between organizations.

Our Catalytic Program Fellowship exists to help close that gap. Six Westmont undergraduate students per semester are equipped and mentored to do real systems-change work alongside KCI SB Catalytic staff, this year, that has meant convening stakeholders, gathering community input, and helping stand up three coordinated project teams under our Youth Resilience Initiative.

Local organizations are working to support survivors and protect vulnerable youth.

Another summer we have been mutually encouraged by the curiosity, openness, and compassion of high school students at workshops on homelessness!

Real systems change takes collaboration. 🤝

Since 2022, we have seen what is possible when community stakeholders, government leaders, nonprofits, and faith communities come together around shared care for our neighborhoods’ most vulnerable.

This month’s newsletter: Kayla on collaboration. 🎉 🤝

What continues to encourage us is that this work is never done alone. Around tables, in partnership, and through relationships built over time, we are seeing collaboration become more than a strategy — it is becoming a culture of shared responsibility and shared hope for our communities.
