Through our Save Our Sisters (SOS) Program, we gave away insulated bags filled with personal care items, snacks, blankets and clothing. This year's 38th Annual Great American Write-In was a full house, including the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. Orange County California Section and 49 other community organizations making our voices heard! With critical issues like the SAVE Act and the Big Beautiful Bill on the table, along with so many more, the room was a buzz as we shared our issues and put pen to the paper. Thank you to the OC chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) for continuing to host this event each year!

Our Section was honored to attend the Black Chamber of Orange County Networking Mixer as the new stamp was unveiled. Phillis Wheatley, the first African American to publish a book of poetry, helped shape the foundation of American literary history. Her commemorative stamp marks the 49th issuance in the U.S. Postal Service Black Heritage series. We wre proud to celebrate this moment and the enduring legacy of Black excellence.

It was a celebration like no other at the Orange County Heritage Council 46th Annual OC Black History Parade in Downtown Anaheim! The event recognized Black History, Culture and Community. We brought some to the parade, which was followed by a Community Unity Fair. What a day, filled with music, food, family, vendors, community organizations, and echos of "We are better together!"
