LOOK AT RAMBLE NOW! š„¹ā¤ļø
Just a little over a week ago, Ramble underwent a long and complicated surgery for a PPDH (peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia) ā a condition where there is an abnormal opening between the abdomen and the sac surrounding the heart, allowing abdominal organs to move into that space.
In Rambleās case, his liver had herniated through the diaphragm and was adhered to the sac surrounding his heart, making his surgery especially complicated.
The surgery was long, and afterward, Ramble had a very difficult time coming out of anesthesia. He wasnāt able to breathe adequately on his own and needed oxygen support while we waited and hoped his little body would take over.
BUT LOOK AT HIM NOW!! š„¹šā¤ļø
Only a little over a WEEK out from surgery, Ramble is THRIVING! Heās bright, alert, comfortable, and getting to be the happy little kitten he was always supposed to be. Seeing the difference between these two pictures is incredible.
We owe so much to the amazing Dr. Shayda and the entire staff at East Chapman Veterinary Center for taking on such a difficult surgery and giving Ramble his chance at life. ā¤ļø
And we absolutely could not have done this without everyone who donated toward his surgery. Your donations quite literally helped save Rambleās life.
Ramble is why we do what we do. We want to continue giving kitties like him a chance ā even when they need complicated surgeries, hospitalization, or expensive medical care.
We are a nonprofit rescue that runs 100% on donations, and our adoption fees cover only a portion of what we actually spend on each kitty who comes through our doors. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us say YES to the next kitty who desperately needs someone to fight for them.
To everyone who has donated and continues to support us: THANK YOU for helping us save lives.
And to our amazing adopters, thank you for providing our kitties with loving forever homes. Every adoption opens up a space for us to rescue another kitty in need.
Ramble got his chance. Now we want to give that same chance to the next one. ā¤ļøš¾
