We are excited to announce that we have two exceptional nominees for the position of PTA Co-President for the 2026-2027 school year! They are MichaelAnn Clifford and Sandy Childs. We are grateful that they have agreed to be nominated for this position and to help the PTA continue in the mission of supporting the students and staff of Island View Elementary.

In order to move forward, we need to hold a special meeting to officially elect them as PTA Board members for the 2026-2027 school year. We need a minimum of 10 PTA members to reach a quorum and hold a vote, so please plan on logging into this meeting from wherever you are on Sunday night. It should only take 10-15 minutes of your time.

We ended the school year with a super fun (and warm!) Field Day and Family Picnic! Face painting, rocket launches, popcorn, field races, bubbles, tattoos, and snow cones were enjoyed by all.

Great job to the fifth graders for coordinating the booths, and thank you to all of our family volunteers!

We had such a fun time celebrating the end of the school year with a roller skating party at Skagit Skate last week! Over 1/3 of Island View students came with their families…quite the celebration 🥳 Sky the Eagle even grabbed his skates and joined us on the roller rink!

Special thanks to Jen Hansen for all of her work coordinating this family fun night plus all of the others this year!

Celebrate the last week of school with a scoop and friends! Lopez Island Creamery will donate part of the proceeds to Island View PTA when you mention us!

ROLLER SKATING PARTY!
Island View at Skagit Skate

Thursday, June 4, 2026 5:30pm-7:30pm

The Island View PTA and Family Fun Night committee invite all Island View students and their families to Skagit Skate! We have rented the entire rink, and the entrance fee and skate rental are free for all Island View students.

Family members and siblings are welcome to join as well for the discounted price of $7 per skater. The snack bar will be open for families who wish to purchase food and drink as well.

We are so excited for this end-of-the-year celebration!

***Please note, this is not a drop-off event. Every student will need to have a responsible adult in attendance.

Island View Field Day is scheduled for Thursday, June 11th!

This wonderful event is hosted by the 5th grade class, but they will still need our support.

The PTA cannot legally operate without a President.

This position already has a great group of support with the VPs, Secretaries, and Treasurer already in place along with multiple committee leads.
