Fidalgo Island and Guemes Gleaners - FIGG We harvest and share excess fruit from backyard fruit trees! We also aim to educate folks on caring for fruit trees and how to use up that yummy harvest.

Are your fruit trees producing more than you can handle? Do you hate to see all that good fruit go to waste? Or maybe you don't have time to pick it all. Let us help! We are Fidalgo Island and Guemes Gleaners in Anacortes Washington. There are many, many fruit trees in our community. Our goal is to share that abundance, particularly with those in need. Contact us and we will harvest your fruit or nut trees and share it! It gets divided several ways - with the tree owner, the pickers, the food bank, seniors and others who lack access to fresh fruit. In the future, a portion may be sold as a fundraiser. The 2015 season will be a trial run for this project. Please contact us if you would be willing to let us harvest your trees and streamline our process. As we grow we will also welcome harvesters.
