YOUTH AND EDUCATION

- Anacortes Sister Cities Student Travel Fund Committee supports students in their projects and dreams.
- ASCA Nikaho Committee works with 6th and 7th graders. Each exchange is for 2 years, the Japanese students visiting Anacortes during the first year and the Anacortes students visiting Japan during the second year.
- ASCA Vela Luka Committee exchange

program is for high school students. Anacortes students work for fundraising for 2 to 3 years before traveling to Vela Luka, Croatia. ARTS AND CULTURE

- ASCA Sidney B.C. Committee has an
impressive Art exchange between Anacortes and Sidney resident artists. We are supporters of art exchange and art creation in our community and with our Sister Cities. ASCA TRAVELER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Our committee presents this award to the Anacortes resident (student or adult) who experiences an international trip. Each year, the winner is announced at the annual ASCA Christmas Dinner in early December. ASCA PRESENTATION PROGRAMS
Every first Thursday of the month (September-June) from 7pm, the ASCA Board Members offer an amazing presentation program featuring a great photo slide show, stories and display items from the presenter's collection. Hear about great traveling in Asia, Africa or anywhere in the world. Join us at the Anacortes Library. ASCA TRAVELS AND VISITING
Along the years, members of ASCA visited
countries as Croatia, Russia, Canada, Japan and Romania multiple times, experiencing local living and culture. Generally, travelers had the wonderful experience of staying with local families, local foods, traditions and customs, visiting towns and important landmarks. ASCA TRAVELS AND VISITING
