We love our own WA state Fur Ever Yours Dog Rescue. We gave them a grant for pups last year, and are very happy to be able to help provide vet care for their own horses and other community animals they've taken in due to the horrendous wildfires ravaging their area (they need lots of hay). We were able to approve their request immediately and get the funds out the same day since we're familiar with their great work!
After days of nonstop calls, grant proposals, and emails, the hard work is finally turning into real relief on the ground — we’ve begun securing grants and are now purchasing emergency hay.
Our next major hay purchase is being funded in part by Pals4Paws, who expedited moving grant funds to get relief to our community as fast as possible! Their extraordinary generosity doesn't stop at feed supplies—they are also covering a mobile veterinary farm call for our senior sanctuary horses (pictured here!) and helping us provide hay for local family horses and sweet Slim the mule!
A huge thank you to Okanogan County Everything Dogs, who has been an incredible community partner helping us connect with local families in need of pet and livestock feed, as well as coordinating directly with local hay suppliers.
Disaster recovery is a team effort, and we are beyond grateful to the organizations, suppliers, and community members stepping up to keep Okanogan County's animals fed, safe, and cared for as families start returning to their homes and pastures affected by the fire
How You Can Help: Share a favorite rescue story or a picture of your own beloved horses in the comments. Please take a moment to show Pals4Paws some love in the comments. Their support made this relief possible, and we’d be grateful if you helped us thank them.
