Markéta Vorel has received the Soroptimist International of Anacortes "Woman of Distinction" Award for 2026. She is the founder of the non-profit Sunflower F.U.N.D. (Funding Ukranian Networks Directly) and recently returned from the on-going war in Ukraine where the Sunflower supports a shelter for displaced women and children near Odessa. Our Soroptimist Club continues to support this non-profit with funds of which 100% are delivered directly to Ukraine.

Several members of SIAnacortes attended the Unconventional Runway Show on Saturday June 6, a fundraiser for the Anacortes Senior Activity Center ! Our Thrift Shop president, Connie Pangrazi, was one of the models on the runway!

Soroptimist Oak Harbor served lunch this week to the crew taking part in the 2026 Habitat for Humanity Island County Women's Build! Their theme is "Strong Women Build Strong Communities" and we couldn't agree more!

On Tuesday May 5, Soroptimist International of Anacortes held its annual Awards Luncheon for 2025-26. Our club presented ten different cash awards, including six Live Your Dream awards!
