RECYCLE TO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FOOD BANK

The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Landfill and Anaconda Project Care Food Bank are partnering to encourage recycling in our community. During the months of June and July 2026 proceeds from all eligible recycling brought to the ADLC Landfill will benefit our local Food Bank fundraiser.

Accepted recycling items include:
Aluminum (beverage cans only - food cans are not accepted)
Steel

Landfill "summer" hours are 9am to 5pm Sunday through Saturday.

Project Care Food Bank has been in operation for over 40 years thanks to the generous support of the Anaconda community. The Food Bank is located in the basement of St. Peter's Church, 401 Alder, and is open Mondays and Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm. An average of 220 households are served each month. Project Care also assembles and distributes 250 special food baskets for local residents during the Christmas season. Food donations are always welcome during operating hours or by calling 406-560-5785. Thanks to the ADLC Recycling Partnership and for everyone's continued support.

THANK YOU ANACONDA

The Anaconda community rises to the occasion again. When federal food assistance (SNAP) was halted on November 1st folks came together to organize a much needed Community Food Drive. The response was amazing. The very generous food and monetary donations we received allowed Project Care to handle the tremendous uptick in visits to the Food Bank caused by this suspension of government assistance.

Thanks to all the individuals, organizations and businesses who once again showed we always come together to lend a helping hand.
