We’re set up on Main Street because Thursdays are market days - so it’s a little stormy, but this is Montana, and we felt optimistic about the break from the smoke! 💚

⚠️ Important Updates Regarding the Scamper Today ⚠️

We have made the difficult decision to cancel the half marathon scheduled - due to the race duration and intensity. We’re continuing to monitor air quality - the health and safety of runners and volunteers is top priority.

⚠️ We will provide updates on our next steps as soon as possible.

Please prioritize your well-being and make an informed decision about whether to participate in the race today. If you are uncomfortable, please do not run. We understand that some individuals may prefer to run/walk shorter distances or not at all. You can transfer race registration to 10k or 5K today if interested.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate the situation.

The race will proceed as scheduled, as the air quality is expected to be at an acceptable level for tomorrow’s event.

That said, every runner is different. We encourage you to make the decision that is best for your own health and comfort.

This is a fundraiser for the Anaconda Community Market — your race registration fee goes to keeping local food access programs thriving, contributes to a vibrant market, and helps us cover overall event costs – which means we cannot offer refunds due to the weather or air quality conditions. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can make it to the starting line. Safe travels, and good luck! 🍀👏💚
