What does peace actually look like?

🔵 Women at the table.
🔵 Women taking up roles in leadership.
🔵 Women whose safety is non-negotiable.

Because you can’t build trust, inclusion, or reconciliation without them.

This day, we’re reminded that is only as strong as the women who shape it. 🕊️

Children may not always be the ones being abused directly, but they still carry the weight of domestic violence every single day. Living in fear, hearing arguments, witnessing harm, or constantly feeling unsafe can deeply affect a child’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being. The impact can show up as anxiety, depression, difficulty in school, behavioral changes, trouble trusting others, or struggles forming healthy relationships later in life.

Understanding this impact matters because children deserve more than survival they deserve safety, stability, and peace. When we recognize the signs and speak openly about domestic violence, we create opportunities for support, healing, and prevention. Protecting children means protecting the environment they grow up in.

Breaking the cycle starts with awareness, compassion, and action. If you or someone you know needs help, reaching out can change a child’s future. 💜

Today we remember and honor all those who selflessly served in the Vietnam War.

We encourage our community to take time today to honor the service of our Vietnam veterans by learning and sharing their stories.

You can learn about just a few of the women who served in critical roles during the Vietnam War at https://www.history.com/topics/vietnam-war/women-in-the-vietnam-war

Today we honor Dr. Mary Edwards Walker — the only woman in United States history to receive the Medal of Honor.

A Civil War surgeon, prisoner of war, and lifelong advocate, Dr. Walker served with courage, conviction, and an unwavering commitment to those in her care.

On National Medal of Honor Day, we recognize extraordinary valor and the legacy of those who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Her service. Her sacrifice. Her story.

Never forgotten. 🇺🇸
