✨ Junior Auxiliary Member Spotlight of the Month ✨

Meet Rashmi Poole!

"My name is Rashmi Poole, and I am a proud wife of 15 years and mother of three amazing children. I am the Owner and Director of French’s Learning & Development Center, a family-founded childcare center that has served our community for over 30 years. As an educator and childcare professional, I am passionate about investing in children, supporting families, and creating opportunities for young people to succeed.

I am a graduate of Amory High School and attended Alabama A&M University before completing my degree in Education at Itawamba Community College. I also hold a Mississippi Director Credential in Early Childhood Education.

Serving others has always been a passion of mine, which is why being a member of Junior Auxiliary is so meaningful. Through Junior Auxiliary, I have the opportunity to give back to the community I love while making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. I am honored and humbled to be selected as JA Member of the Month and grateful to serve alongside such dedicated and inspiring women.

When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting my children’s activities, and continuing the legacy of service that my grandparents began many years ago."

⚾️ After an incredible season and a fantastic District Tournament weekend, JA of Amory is officially closing the concession stand for the summer. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, purchased a meal or snack, shared a post, or stopped by to support us this season. We are extremely grateful to the City of Amory Mississippi and City of Amory Parks & Recreation for allowing us the opportunity to serve our community at the ballpark.

A special thank you to our Mayor Zack McGonagill for smoking all of the delicious BBQ for the tournament and helping make the weekend such a success!

The most deserving of shoutouts goes to Brittany Stanford Waldrop, one of our newest Junior Auxiliary Provisionals, who absolutely knocked it out of the park this weekend. Brittany jumped in wherever needed, accommodated every request we threw her way, and played a huge role in the success of the tournament.

Most importantly, thank you to our community. Your support throughout the season will help Junior Auxiliary continue investing in projects that serve children and families in our area, including our efforts to revitalize Celebration Station.

Thank you, Amory! 💙

⚾️ Come hungry and bring the whole family to the DYS District Tournament at Concord Sports Complex this Friday evening and all day Saturday!

And yes… the Mayor is smoking all the yummy food! 🔥🍔🌭

Every purchase helps support the Celebration Station Revitalization Project, a partnership between City of Amory and JA of Amory to create a safe, inclusive playground for the children of our community.

Come support our softball girls, great food, and help us build something amazing for Amory’s families.

See you at the ballpark! 💙⚾️

Meet Corie Hill!

Corie Hulen Hill graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance and spent the first ten years of her career working in accounting. Driven by a passion for serving others, she later earned her teaching degree from the University of Mississippi and transitioned into education.

For the past ten years, Corie has dedicated her career to teaching special education, making a meaningful impact on the lives of her students and their families. In July 2025, she completed her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Delta State University and currently serves as Assistant Principal at West Amory Elementary School.

Corie is the proud mother of three amazing sons, and together they call Amory home.

As a new member of Junior Auxiliary of Amory, Corie has already created many special memories through service. One of her most meaningful experiences has been participating in Santa’s Helpers, where she witnessed the community come together to support local families. She is inspired by Junior Auxiliary’s dedication to improving the lives of children and families and is honored to be part of an organization that makes such a positive impact.

We are excited to share that Carry Hope has officially served its first two Monroe County foster children this week!

Each child received a bag filled with a handwritten card of encouragement and a Walmart gift card. The family was incredibly appreciative, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support children and caregivers during a time of transition. 💙
