Strong families build strong futures. Our Child-Parent Psychotherapy services offer trauma-informed support to families involved with Suffolk County Family Treatment Court, helping parents and children heal and grow together.🤍👩‍👧

Essential Components of Therapy Include:
- Enhance emotional regulation and teaches self-regulation skills
- Focus on the parent-child relationship as the primary target of intervention.
- Help establish appropriate parent-child roles
- Foster parent’s ability to respond in helpful, soothing ways when child is upset
- Foster child’s ability to use parent as a secure base
- Help parent acknowledge what child has witnessed and remembered
- Provide developmental guidance acknowledging response to trauma

Hope For Youth is looking to welcome passionate community leaders to join our Board of Directors. Our board plays a vital role in guiding our mission by offering insight and support in areas such as fundraising, budgeting, outreach, programming, and strategic growth.

We are especially interested in individuals with backgrounds in:
• Education
• Healthcare (doctors, nurses, social workers, substance abuse specialists)
• Mental health (therapists, psychologists)
• Marketing & business
• Health and human services
• Academic leadership

As we continue to grow, our goals include expanding mentorship programs, increasing funding and community visibility, recognizing our incredible staff and organization, and developing new ideas to help our youth succeed at an even higher level.

This holiday season was truly incredible — and it’s all because of the generosity and compassion of our community. Together, we served 430 youth, distributed over 1,250 gifts, and partnered with 18+ donors who helped make the holidays brighter for the children and families we serve. ✨🎄

From wish lists fulfilled to smiles shared, every act of kindness made a meaningful impact. We are deeply grateful to our donors, volunteers, staff, and partners who came together to turn compassion into action.
