Children’s mental health can’t stay on the back burner. Without proper funding, waitlists grow, families struggle, and kids in crisis fall through the cracks. New York must do better.

A new Newsday article examines how a proposed $200 million investment to expand access to children’s mental health services was left out of New York’s final state budget, despite advocates warning that families continue to face long waitlists and barriers to care.
