Bowman & Slope County Community Foundation Leave a Legacy

01/16/2026

One of the easiest ways to make a legacy gift to your favorite charity or cause is to name them as a beneficiary (or partial beneficiary) of your life insurance policy. And to have even greater impact, you can specifically designate the money to the organization's endowment fund. That way, your gift will continue to provide support for many, many years. Learn more at ndcflegacy.org or call NDCF at 701-222-8349 if you have questions about this charitable giving option.

Grid United, an independent transmission company and significant donor in the region, has gifted money to be granted through their Community Investment Program (CIP) in 2023, 2024, and 2025 to Slope County alongside the foundation’s yearly endowment earnings which serve both counties. Organizations may apply in both Spring and Fall. Grant dollars from Grid United and the Endowment will be divided up into two grant rounds as follows:

• SPRING Round: $36,800 granted to organizations who serve Slope County
• FALL Round: $47,854 available for organizations who serve Bowman and/or Slope County
• FALL Special Single Capital Project Grant: $150,000 for organizations who serves Slope County

APPLY TODAY, ONLINE at www.NDCF.net/BowmanSlope (“Apply for Grant” tab then “Apply Here” button). Fall applications are due by September 15, 2025. The Foundation advisory committee will discuss the applications and determine grant awards shortly after the deadline.

The BSCF is a permanent endowment from which the local advisory committee take applications, reviews, and grants out annual earnings and additional funds (like Grid United’s large donation) based on the most pressing needs of the community, helping improve the quality of life in the Bowman & Slope counties.
