Lorain County AFL-CIO Clarifies Position on Lorian County Commissioners Race

LORAIN, OH — The Lorain County AFL-CIO Federation of Labor is issuing this statement to clarify its position regarding the upcoming Lorain County Commissioners’ race.

The Lorain County AFL-CIO Federation of Labor has decided to stay neutral in the endorsement of candidates in the race for Lorain County Commissioner. While some individual affiliate unions may have chosen to endorse a certain candidate, those decisions were made at the affiliate level and do not represent the official positions or recommendations or endorsements of the Lorain County AFL-CIO Federation of Labor.

The Lorain County AFL-CIO Federation of Labor remains committed to supporting candidates who champion the rights of working families and the strength of organized labor throughout our community.

I encourage everyone to come to the Lorain County Organized Labor Day Festival this Sunday at Black River Landing from 12noon to 5pm.

We have kids rides, prize give aways, car show.
Hot dogs, chips and pop for .50 cents a piece. Bands will be on the main stage playing great music.
Cost to enter the festival is free.
This is all done through donations raised by local labor unions to give back to the community.
The Lorain County AFL CIO Federation of Labor and Lorain County UAW CAP Council and it members cordially invites the community to come and celebrate Labor Day with us.
