Sandstone Village, 763 Milan Avenue, Amherst, Ohio 44001

Free parking and shuttle at:
Amherst Junior High, 548 Milan Avenue, Amherst
&
Faith Baptist Church, 440 North Lake, Amherst

Field kitchens, ranging from the Hundred Years War to the Ohio Army National Guard, will compete and offer samples of period meals for a donation. Attendees will enjoy:

-Military, home front and camp follower displays
-Samples of food from various Field Kitchens, by donation
-Shooting demonstrations
-Vendors
-Kids’ activities
And more!

Last year, around 5,000 attended and around 300 reenactors came from around the country to bring history to life!

Hey Amherst! The Taste of History 2026 happening in our backyard this weekend 🇺🇸
Head to Sandstone Village this Friday (9 AM - 5 PM) and Saturday (9 AM - 6 PM) for a free military living history event celebrating America's 250th anniversary.
Enjoy historic encampments, ration sampling, and activities for the whole family. Free parking and a shuttle are available at Amherst Junior High.

After stepping back in time, come see us at the taproom to cool off with a cold beer and a great meal 🍻
