Village Productions Our objective is to create a thriving community center that enhances and strengthens the Amesville area.

The mission of Village Productions is to enhance community connections and provide learning opportunities in and around Amesville, Ohio by offering classes, workshops, and events for the well-being of our rural community. html) before coming to class for last-minute cancellations and teacher information. It is our policy to cancel classes for level II snow emergencies. Village Productions (VP) is a non-profit community-based organization. Christine Far opened the Village Production Studio in 1993. As director, teacher, and choreographer she utilized local talent, students and volunteers to create over 20 original dance theater productions until her departure in 2005. Village Production is alive and well today in thanks to Christine and her many talents. Since the beginning, Village Productions has provided a variety of services for people in the Amesville area. Village Productions offers classes, workshops, special events, concerts, and lectures. We open the facility for use by supporters and the local community. Classes are provided in movement, crafts, music, dance, yoga, and more. They are structured to have an experiential component, and are taught by local artists and professionals. They strive to connect children and adults to their personal awareness and hidden talents. Special events, lectures and performances bring together the people that live in and around Amesville. The hope is to create new relationships, entertain people with novel presentations, and build a sense of community that will carry over into all aspects of civic engagement in the area.

Line Dancing Class starting on Monday, August 24th from 6:00 – 7:00pm!

Come Out and Dance: Mondays, 6:00 - 7:00 pm. $8 (members free)
Line dancing with Sabra. No experience needed - just a willingness to move! This class is perfect for beginners, but experienced dancers will find plenty to enjoy too. We ease in with slow, simple dances before stepping it up with more advanced beginner routines. Our playlist spans classic country western line dances, waltzes, cha-chas and more.

DON'T MISS THE AMES/BERN RIDGE ROUNDERS AT THE 2026 "ALONZO W**D FESTIVAL", SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH. The next Amesville Summer Nights is the Alonzo W**d Festival on August 15th, featuring local music, local food vendors, Jackie O's beer, arts/craft booths, and more. Alonzo W**d was the short-term mayor of Amesville in 1903.

"Amesville is once again celebrating the brief, quirky time when a vagabond became mayor of the Village.

Alonzo W**d was rumored to be the nephew of an upstanding citizen. At under five feet tall, he came into town and quickly became known for his inebriated, unsavory lifestyle. Nonetheless, some Amesville townspeople decided to place his name on the ballot to become mayor.

In the end, the April 1903 election resulted in a tie, which was reconciled by drawing cards. Alonzo drew a jack of diamonds and bested his opponent's draw, which was a nine of spades. In winter, Alonzo W**d became the mayor of the Village of Amesville.

It was not long before many townspeople regretted their choice and even appealed to the governor, who did not undo the will of the people. Luckily, Alonzo did not find Village obligations to be his gig, and took to the road once again before summer."
