Last week, ICA producer member Doug Schroeder represented Iowa’s cattle industry at the Common Ground Summit Midwest Region Meeting. Discussions focused on key issues impacting agriculture, including capital access, land access, CRP, risk management, and domestic and foreign labor.

ICA Director of Government Relations, Kelli Klink, was also invited to speak on ICA’s efforts to advance CRP reform and advocate for greater working lands flexibility for cattle producers.

A big day for Iowa agriculture 🌽🥩💧

Governor Kim Reynolds has signed both the Iowa Farm Act and long-term water quality funding into law today.

These wins deliver support for rural veterinarians, strengthen Iowa's preparedness for foreign animal disease outbreaks, and make a long-term investment in conservation efforts that keep agriculture at the center of Iowa's water quality solutions.

ICA appreciates Governor Kim Reynolds, House Agriculture Committee Chair Derek Wulf, Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Dawn Driscoll, and the legislative leaders for helping move these priorities across the finish line.
