The Fraternity of Young Professionals of Central Iowa (FYP) was created to combat the boredom that comes from holding a summer internship in a new town. Based out of the small college town of Ames, IA, members of the FYP take part in many bonding opportunities such as occupying thrist quenching establishments, floating down any river with enough water, and in general raising cane in a professional
ly unprofessional manner. Our organization was created by founding fathers and mothers who began one summer as interns at Sauer-Danfoss (a global leader in hydraulic components) and Go Topless Glassware (pioneers in creative spirit tasting paraphanalia). We began by simply heading to the local watering hole after work to keep the heat at bay. Now we scour the land from the far west reaches of Boone to the southernmost tip of Des Moines, looking to spread our influence. The FYP of Central Iowa invites YOU to join our forces! We welcome all trades: engineers, accountants, garbage truck drivers, clowns, bicycle salesmen, supply chain managers, and zookeepers. Come join us and forget the workin blues and let the goodtime networking roll!
