Some families come to our Pet Food Pantry every month. Others come once, when things get tight and don't come back until they need us again.

Last quarter, that added up to 280 families- all trusting that our shelves would be stocked and ready for our dispersal day. This equals out to 500 dogs and 733 cats who have benefitted our services at least once in the last few months. That number is *mind blowing* to us and we know that our local shelters couldn't take in that many animals if they needed to be surrendered.

Recurring gifts are what make that possible. $10/month. $25/month. Whatever you can do, consistently, keeps a pet fed and a family from having to choose between groceries and dog food.

Please be very, very careful with your pets this week! They should not be exercised in the extreme heat, walks should be kept to a minimum and in the coolest parts of the day, and pets should not be left outside for an extended amount of time.

Wellness Wednesday!!

Please watch out for your pets this week!! Dogs overheat quickly. Please make sure you give them access to water frequently and their time outside is limited. Don’t forget that the sidewalks heat up fast and could burn their paws.

We don't often ask for donations on this page but our small nonprofit is FIFTEEN years old this year and we have spent the last 9 of those running our pet food pantry! Can you believe that?

Each month we are feeding over 500 dogs and cats AND at the end of this month we are sponsoring the free vaccine and microchip clinic in Ames again 💙We continue to do big things for our community because of the love and support we are shown.
