Iowa Young Bird­ers is ded­i­cated to encour­ag­ing all young per­sons who are inter­ested in learn­ing more about the excit­ing world of bird­ing. Whether you are new to the sport or already have a large check­list of birds you’ve iden­ti­fied, this is the place for you! Prepare for cuteness overload! Check out these adorable Canada Goose chicks learning to forage with their parents. Did you know Canada Geese chicks are born fully covered in down and are able to leave the nest within a day of hatching? This is called “precocial” and is typical of most waterfowl.
