Iowa Young Birders EXPLORE. INSPIRE. CONSERVE. Through­out the year, we’ll have expe­ri­enced bird­ers lead­ing guided field trips to prime bird­ing spots across the state.

Iowa Young Bird­ers is ded­i­cated to encour­ag­ing all young per­sons who are inter­ested in learn­ing more about the excit­ing world of bird­ing. Whether you are new to the sport or already have a large check­list of birds you’ve iden­ti­fied, this is the place for you! Share your obser­va­tions, ask ques­tions, check out our info for bird­ers, and become part of this grow­ing community. If you are inter­ested in join­ing, learn­ing more about upcom­ing field trips and events, or have ques­tions or com­ments, please con­tact us. We look for­ward to hear­ing from you. High Trestle Hawk Watch is flying back! Join fellow birders at 10am on the High Trestle Trail Overlook on October 10th to witness raptors migrating south.
