DAY 6 - AUGUST 20, 2018 - OUR PRAIRIE AND FAREWELL DINNER EVENT
On the this the final day of our Friendship Force Domestic Journey by ambassadors from Friendship Force of Fort Worth we shared Reiman Gardens beautiful 17 acres and Butterfly Wing in the morning. The evening had one last evening event where we celebrated the prairie with informative lectures by Tim Youngquist and Deb Lewis and entertainment by Roger and Correy Bertelsen, Dorothy Dake, Peggy Faden and Ginny Molgaard. Good Bye to all our lasting friends (great people) from Friendship Force of Fort Worth, Texas. We hope to meet you on future journeys.

DAY 5 - SUNDAY, AUGUST 19, 2018 - COVERED BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY AND JOHN WAYNE BIRTHPLACE
A full day in Winterset, Iowa. Lunch at the Northside Cafe (featured in the Bridges movie), Visit to John Wayne birthplace and museum, the Iowa Quilt Museum and finally exploring many of the interesting bridges of Madison county Iowa.

DAY 4 - AUGUST 18, 2018, DOWNTOWN DES MOINES
On the fourth day of the wonderful visit by Friendship Force of Fort Worth we explored downtown Des Moines. We visited the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates and learned about how it celebrates those who have dedicated their lives to fighting hunger around the world. A walk through the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market and lunch at a downtown restaurant was fun on a beautiful weather day. The afternoon began with a docent guided tour of Pappajohn Sculpture Park, then free time before the evening at Della Viti Wine Bar in Ames.

Today the ambassadors and their home hosts traveled to the Iowa State Fair for a day filled with all things Iowan.

International Friendship Garden created and maintained by Friendship Force of Fort Worth in a City Park. Bricks added for each outbound and inbound Journey/Exchange. A wonderful way to share the message of world peace.

Day 4: Fort Worth Journey - A day of Gardens. Morning spent touring Ft Worth Japanese Garden and formal Rose Garden. Later in the day on to the spectacular Water Gardens with our hosts Randy and Jo Thomson.

Day 2: Museum day - Sid Richardson Museum of Western Art [lots of Re*****on and Russell paintings and sculptures] with our host Randy Thomson. Sundance Square and on to Kimball and Amon Carter Museums to fill the afternoon with Art.
