On September 16, 2020, we lost Henry Alan Munson Owen to su***de. Throughout the past 5 years, his presence is felt every day in the lives of those who knew him. Henry was more than a friend, son, and teammate - he was a Renaissance soul. He lit up every room with his charisma, compassion, and joy. Whether on the wrestling mat, the stage, or simply sitting with a friend, Henry embodied genuine kindness that was contagious. He knew no strangers, and his loyalty and inclusiveness left a mark on all who was lucky enough to cross his path.
The HAMO Foundation was created to honor Henry’s legacy of love, connection, and the reminder that every life matters. Over the past five years, with your support, we’ve awarded scholarships, shared hundreds of hours through Henry’s Helpers, funded mental health programs across states and countries, and built a community where stories are shared and stigma is broken. Our partnership with Guided Ascent expands access to compassionate, timely mental health care for individuals and families in need.
At the heart of everything we do is the belief that no one should feel silenced or alone. Henry continues to bring people together, reminding us that listening matters, connection is essential, and people are everything. On this anniversary, we invite you to pause, reach out to someone you love, and carry forward the empathy Henry so naturally embodied.
For Henry, and for all those still fighting silent battles, we remain committed to this mission. The HAMO Foundation is here to hear you, to give hope, and to create a future where no one feels alone.

We miss you every day, Henry. But your love and light are still here - living on through the work we do and the people we meet. ❤️💙

To the Gilbert community, to the students, families, and friends, to everyone reading this:

Our hearts are heavy. The HAMO Foundation is heartbroken to be here again, mourning the loss of another young life far too soon. We extend our deepest love and support to Jaden’s family, friends, and classmates during this time of unimaginable grief.

Since Henry’s passing in 2020, we’ve seen our community face this pain again and again. These are lives that matter. Legacies that deserve to be remembered and carried on. The fight to break the stigma surrounding mental health takes all of us. Every interaction matters. You never know what someone is carrying, so be present. Listen. Have real conversations. Judgment free. Care for yourself, and extend that care to the people around you.

Along with sending thoughts and prayers, we must also send community, love, resources, and solutions to those battling mental health challenges. Real support goes beyond words. Mental health is real. For kids. For teens. For men. For women. For students. For everyone. If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. The HAMO Foundation is here to listen, to support, and to connect you with resources that can help.

Say their names. Carry their light. Let’s be part of the change together. Don’t stop talking about it.
❤️💙

Henry would have turned 22 today. Days like today are a reminder of the kindness, compassion, and joy Henry spread to everyone he met. Even in his physical absence, Henry continues to bring people together. Through moments of remembrance and acts of kindness, his legacy reaches beyond borders, generations, and backgrounds. His story reminds us that connection matters. Listening matters. People matter. So today, on what would have been Henry’s 22nd birthday, we invite you to pause. Reach out to someone. Remind them they’re not alone. Carry forward empathy, in honor of Henry. We miss you every day, Henry. But your love is still here. In the work we do and the people we meet. The mission of the HAMO foundation is to carry on this legacy while continuing the conversation surrounding mental health. Thank you all for being here❤️💙
