On September 16, 2020, we lost Henry Alan Munson Owen to su***de. Throughout the past 5 years, his presence is felt every day in the lives of those who knew him. Henry was more than a friend, son, and teammate - he was a Renaissance soul. He lit up every room with his charisma, compassion, and joy. Whether on the wrestling mat, the stage, or simply sitting with a friend, Henry embodied genuine kindness that was contagious. He knew no strangers, and his loyalty and inclusiveness left a mark on all who was lucky enough to cross his path.
The HAMO Foundation was created to honor Henry’s legacy of love, connection, and the reminder that every life matters. Over the past five years, with your support, we’ve awarded scholarships, shared hundreds of hours through Henry’s Helpers, funded mental health programs across states and countries, and built a community where stories are shared and stigma is broken. Our partnership with Guided Ascent expands access to compassionate, timely mental health care for individuals and families in need.
At the heart of everything we do is the belief that no one should feel silenced or alone. Henry continues to bring people together, reminding us that listening matters, connection is essential, and people are everything. On this anniversary, we invite you to pause, reach out to someone you love, and carry forward the empathy Henry so naturally embodied.
For Henry, and for all those still fighting silent battles, we remain committed to this mission. The HAMO Foundation is here to hear you, to give hope, and to create a future where no one feels alone.
We miss you every day, Henry. But your love and light are still here - living on through the work we do and the people we meet. ❤️💙
