The Ames Veterans Day Program will be held on Sat., Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the City Auditorium. It's an opportunity to pause, reflect, appreciate, and honor our veterans. This year I am very pleased to announce that our featured speaker will be Air Force Lt. Col. Donald Kom, Retired. Don now serves as the Director of the Ames Electric Department. The ISU Army ROTC will present the colors and the Ames High School Concert Chorale will be performing. Also, we will have music from the Ames Senior Band (under the direction of Don DoBell) and Jim DeHoet. Please consider joining us for this special community event.
