Border Brigade Archery is putting on this great archery shoot coming up in March. If you are interested, you can go to their page and pre-register. This will ensure they know how many meals to have prepared. Registration covers lunch.

FYI. This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month. One thing to Note. There is a good chance we will have to share the range with other customers tomorrow as they are starting something new an indoor league. One note, if our youth want to shoot in the league that is fine, in the event if they win money they will need to not accept the money because it could take them out of being able to compete at 4-H Nationals later. I will see about getting clarification if they were to win money could they donate it to their club with proof of donation with a receipt.

FYI because I don’t think I can get very many of my archers outside with the temperatures below freezing, we can plan on having our practices at Jax until spring. See y’all there tomorrow afternoon. Hope you didn’t eat too much turkey and dressing and pies.

Get signed up for the new 4-H year. Then come join us at the Golden Shots shootijg sports meetings that occur the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

Currently we do archery and are working to recruit instructors for rifle and shotgun. If you have a youth and are interested in becoming a level 1 certified instructor with 4-H. Get signed up in 4-H and register for the upcoming g class on October 12th here in Ames. The link to then Iowa 4-H Shooting Sports page is attached to this post.

4-H members, if you have not signed up yet. Sign up for the warm up for state. We prepared the range this afternoon, fresh mowed the grass, set the lines and targets. If you have a canopy feel free to bring it along with camping chairs. It will be great we have about 26 competitors signed up and will be taking registration through the meet. It should be a great tournament. Being this is our primary fundraiser, we will have $5 lunch plates (includes a hot dog or sirloin burge, drink, chips and a cookie) so bring your appetite. We will also be selling some chocolate chip cookies for snacks, and have waters and cokes for sale as well for $1.

Good morning 4-H ers. I will be shooting in the Iowa games archery this weekend and the awards is on Sunday at 2:00pm. For this Sunday let’s look to move the meeting and shoot practice back to 3:00 pm. This will allow me time to shoot and attend the awards. We will go from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We will shoot at our tournament distance and for those who need postal scores we will shoot those as well.

This Sunday June2nd we will be holding our meeting and Archery at the Ames Ike’s from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm. It should be a great day with beautiful weather. Bring your sunscreen and water to drink. See you there.
