Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. From the leaders we elect, to the issues on our ballots, voting is one way we help shape the policies and decisions that affect our families, our communities and our daily lives.

Before you cast your ballot, take time to know what’s on it, make a plan to vote, and use your voice to help shape our community.

At YWCA, we're committed to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we continue that work by advocating for survivors, raising awareness, and helping create communities free from violence.

Join us this October by sharing what this work means to you.

Today marks 25 years since the tragedy of September 11. As we reflect on that moment, we remember not just the heartbreak, but the profound heroism of so many in New York, Shanksville, PA and Washington, DC that defined that day and the weeks that followed. We remember the firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and everyday people who selflessly put their lives on the line for others. Their bravery showed us the absolute best of humanity, that our light would not be dimmed, and that our love and compassion for strangers is our greatest strength.

Twenty-five years later, that spirit of courage inspires us to continue our work to ensure peace, justice, freedom and dignity are realities for all. 🧡

For decades, Gloria Steinem stood at the forefront of the movement for women's rights, helping transform public consciousness and expand opportunities for generations of women and girls. Her connection to the YWCA was both profound and enduring, rooted in a shared commitment to equity, justice, safety, and opportunity for all.
