🌎💚 That’s a Wrap, Y’all! 💚🌎

What an unforgettable week at the Earth is the Lord’s Camp at Koinonia Farm! From digging in the garden and learning to be Earth Stewards, to exploring Providence Canyon, sliding into fun during our water day, and reflecting on God’s Word through Psalm 24 — our campers reminded us just how sacred and beautiful this Earth truly is. 🌿💦🌞

We wrote letters to Mother Earth, walked in the wisdom of our elders, gave thanks for the land and waters, and ended the week by pledging to live with purpose as caretakers of God’s creation. ✍🏽🪷🌾

To all the families, volunteers, speakers, youth leaders, and Koinonia staff — THANK YOU! 🙌🏽💛 Your love, prayers, and hard work made this week a true blessing.

✨ The Earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it! ✨

Until next time, let’s keep planting seeds of love, truth, and stewardship wherever we go.

🌊 Day 4 Snapshot – Earth is the Lord’s Camp at Koinonia Farm 🌞

“For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” — Psalm 24:2 💧

Today, we dove deeper into God’s Word by focusing on Psalm 24:2 and learning about the gift of water — from the clouds to the lakes, and everything in between. Campers explored the water cycle through hands-on learning and discovered just how essential water is to God's creation and our lives. 🌦️🌱

And what better way to celebrate water than with a homemade slip 'n slide and a joyful afternoon soaking up sunshine and splashes at Lake Blackshear. ☀️🛶

We had a blast reminding ourselves that water is life and God is the source. 💙

Stay tuned—tomorrow’s journey brings new discoveries and deeper faith!

🌍 Day 3 at Earth is the Lord’s Camp at Koinonia Farm: The Land Remembers Us 🌱

Today, we will listen deeply and gather in a circle to explore the sacred question: Who owns the land—or does the land own us?

Through stories, wisdom, and lived experience, our elders from Indigenous and neighboring communities remind us that land is not property—it’s relationship. 🌾

We honor the voices of those who stewarded the soil long before us, learning that true belonging comes from listening, respecting, and remembering.

🪶 From Native teachings on sacred land to local community voices speaking truth about generational care and loss, we are reclaiming the understanding that we belong to the land—not the other way around.

As we continue to grow in spirit and in the soil, we walk with deeper gratitude for those who came before us. The land is a gift, not a possession.

🌿 Day 2 at Earth Is the Lord’s Camp | Stewarding the Land 🌿

Today is all about honoring God’s first assignment to humanity — to care for the Earth 🌎

We will harvest fresh blueberries and dig our hands into the soil at Koinonia Farm, learning what it means to be faithful stewards of the land, not just for today but for generations to come.

This afternoon, we will hike through the breathtaking beauty of Providence Canyon State Park, witnessing firsthand the power of both creation and human impact. 🏞️ It reminder to us that caring for the Earth isn’t just an option — it’s a calling.

🛠️ Gardening.
👣 Hiking.
📖 Reflecting on Genesis 2:15 — “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

Let today be a reminder: God entrusted us with this Earth. Let’s rise to the responsibility. 💚

🌾 Welcome to Camp Koinonia! 🌞

We’re so excited to kick off a beautiful 5-day journey at Koinonia Farm where young hearts dig deep, grow strong, and get rooted in God’s creation.

Over the next few days, we invite you—our community—to walk with us as we nurture youth through the lens of sustainable and regenerative farming. Here at Koinonia, that nurture comes through deep connection:

🌱 To the land — learning from the soil and the seeds
🤝 To each other — building belonging and friendship
📖 To God’s Word — discovering truth, purpose, and peace

You’ll get to witness moments of joy, reflection, worship, and wonder as these young people explore what it means to be caretakers of the Earth and reflections of God’s love.

👣 Follow our journey right here.
📸 Share your encouragement in the comments.
🙏 Pray for growth—in spirit, in faith, and in the soil beneath our feet.

Let’s grow together, y’all.

Sixty-three years ago today, The Sneeches by Dr. Seuss was published and readers of all ages learned how Star-Bellied Sneeches overcame their prejudice against Plain-Bellied Sneeches. Still a great read and a great lesson today!

CAN WE TAKE TIME TO APPRECIATE THE PARALYMPIC MEDAL 🥹😍

• The medal has a hexagon piece of the original Eiffel Tower iron preserved from its renovations in the 20th century; France is often referred as “L’Hexagone” because its geographical shape resembles a hexagon.
• On each corner of the hexagon is a "Clous de Paris" hobnail-shaped appendage to resemble the Eiffel rivets.
• The ribbon is red in a shade combining the first two coats of paint on the Eiffel.

They're bringing a piece of Eiffel with each medal
BUT WHAT'S MORE INTERESTING TO ME IS THE FRONT 😍🤩

• The medal has a "tactile" view of the Eiffel Tower from the bottom. A person with impaired vision would be able to "look up" the Eiffel Tower by touching the medal.
• In the middle is the Agitos logo of the Paralympics. Agitos comes from the Latin meaning "I move."
• Around the tower (or on its feet), "Paris" and "2024" are written in Braille - the language of the blind and visually impaired. This is also in honor of Louis Braille, the French inventor of the Braille system.
• The medal also has markings on the edge to differentiate gold (I dash) from silver (II dashes) and bronze (III dashes).

HOW BEAUTIFUL THINGS CAN BE WHEN ACCESSIBILITY IS PART OF THE CREATION PROCESS. ❤🫶
