The girls of Pack 421 had a very special pinning ceremony before the start of summer. We had one young lady go from Lion Rank to Tiger Rank and six young ladies go from Bear Rank to Webelos.
To be able to advance, the girls must have completed an allotted number of activities in their Scouting books. They completed those tasks at our meetings and at home on their own time. Many of these activities are meant to act as life lessons to help them navigate the changing world we live in with confidence, respect, and understanding.
Each girl had her face painted by their parent to represent the rank that she was rising to and then returned the favor by painting their parents face. The girls thought that was super fun!
They then walked across the make shift bridge to symbolize the crossing over to a new rank and a new year.
The girls received updated badges and neckerchief’s along with new uniforms depending on the change in rank.
Congrats ladies for achieving your new station!! We look forward to being a part of your future accomplishments as a Cub Scout in Pack 421!
