Play it Forward wants your art!

We are releasing a CD compilation of music by Cincinnati area musicians and would like to have a local artist art showcased on the cover.

All art mediums from photos to paintings to collage are welcome (final needs to be submitted in photo form). If you would like to submit cover art for this project we only have a few requests.

1. Keep in mind this is a music theme and the Play it Forward idea of help and compassion towards others.
2. Your submission needs to be sent in the form of a high resolution photo to: [email protected] by 8/30/2013. Please include a phone number and the best time to contact you.

The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate and have credit in all social media we plan to use to publish the CD and a special VIP package for the release show for the CD. The winner will be picked by the Play it Forward Board.

Below is a list of artist who are part of this project. (We do not expect you to do the CD liner notes this is only to give you a feel for the content, of course you can work these names into your art if you like.)

Living without health insurance seems to be a way of life for local musicians. Play It Forward is working very hard to change this, but health care is not out of reach. If you or a musician you love is earning less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, there is health care available to you now!

Play It Forward is proud to announce that we are partnering with St. John- Mercy Clinic to provide medical care to Cincinnati's music and arts community. Through this partnership we will not only be able to get you care at St. John's downtown, but find you a "medical home" at a doctor's office near you and dramatically reduce the wait time to see a doctor or nurse practitioner from 6 months to 24 hours.

Keep your eye on this page for more information as it develops, and spread the word to musicians you know to like this page and be ready to sign up for check ups!

The Rock and Roll Photography Showcase ft music from The Ready Stance and BLACK OWLS is this Saturday! Doors open at 7, but we're still looking for a few extra volunteers to come early for set up. Teen country-music group Jetset Getset will appear on several TV and radio programs in coming days, to promote their November 7 concert to benefit Play It Forward at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill. They will be interviewed on 91.7 WVXU's "Around Cincinnati" on Sunday, November 4 between 7:00-9:00 p.m. (Listen online at www.wvxu.org/listen) On Monday, November 5, Jetset Getset will be interviewed on "Good Morning Cincinnati" on WKRC-TV (Local12) at 7:15 a.m., and on "Fox19 Morning News - Xtra" on WXIX-TV at 10:45 a.m. Be sure you tune in, and we'll see you next Wednesday night!
