We all enjoyed a fun program creating a breakfast tray using a placemat,napkin and plate. Using our own flowers and vase, we made a matching small design to match our table setting. It was interesting to see each other’s ideas for this. We continued with our business meeting and some sweet and savory treats!

Our first meeting after summer was on, Thursday, September 20th. It was so nice to see all the members and catch up. We had a very informative program on the different categories of mass design in floral arranging. Some members brought floral design and horticulture specimens. We continued with our business meeting afterwards.

Our June meeting/ luncheon was held at Charley’s Waterfront Cafe in Farmville. We had such a wonderful time together! Also, we had two guests that may be potential new members. Yay!! This concludes our 2025-2026 year and we will meet again starting in September. Awards were given for participation, design and horticulture.

Joanne Wallace, an accredited Flower Show judge, agreed to assess our horticulture specimens that we brought to our May meeting.
Members bring horticulture cuttings from our gardens a few times throughout our meetings. We all enjoy viewing what everyone is growing in their own gardens! Afterwards, we had our May business meeting and had a lovely array of snacks!

We still have some plants for sale from last Saturday. Please come by and see what we have this Sat, May 16 from 9-11am at 15931 Goodes Bridge Rd, Amelia. Many plants are from our members own gardens.

$8 Mini floral designs for moms & grandmothers will be available at our plant sale tomorrow. All proceeds support upkeep of the Memorial Garden in the heart of the Village.

Gardening and other books, house decor, a working sewing machine, size 8 jeans, medium athletic shorts, yoga shorts, assorted RVA/AA/ACHS attire, capris, tops, dress pants, summer dresses, size 91/2 brand new shoes and jewelry will be for sale Saturday.
