Reading Recycled

Reading Recycled Reading Recycled believes every child deserves to read. Our mission is to surround children with opportunities to find books to call their own.

We provide teachers, community members, and organizations serving children with constant access to books. Reading Recycled is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in the Delaware Valley area. We strive to eliminate children growing up without books in their homes. The project is the brainchild of our founder, Anne, a certified teacher with a Masters degree in Education. She was shocked after

watching a documentary featuring young children with no books to read and resolved to make a difference. We accomplish this by collecting new and gently used books and boxing them up for distribution to various shelters, pantries, etc. The new books, along with a toy or craft, are made into birthday baskets for deserving children. Help us to eliminate children growing up without books in their homes,(Help us put books into the hands of as many under-served children as possible) let’s work together to put that first book into a child’s hands!
