You can’t tell if someone has HIV by looking at them.

They may look healthy. They may be successful. They may be young, athletic, wealthy, or seem to have no risk factors at all. HIV does not have a “look,” and it does not discriminate based on age, appearance, income, race, gender, or s*xual orientation.

That’s why it’s important to make decisions based on facts, NOT assumptions.

Protect yourself and your partners by practicing safer s*x, getting tested regularly, knowing your status, and having open conversations about s*xual health.

The only way to know if someone has HIV is through testing.

KNOW THE FACTS. PROTECT EACH OTHER.

Understanding how HIV is transmitted is one of the most effective ways to prevent new infections and reduce stigma.

In the United States, the vast majority of new HIV transmissions occur through s*xual contact. Knowing your status, practicing safer s*x, considering prevention options such as PrEP, and staying connected to healthcare can significantly reduce your risk.

The good news? HIV is preventable, treatable, and manageable. People living with HIV who achieve an undetectable viral load through treatment cannot s*xually transmit HIV to their partners (U=U).

Education saves lives. Testing saves lives. Treatment saves lives.

The new name honors the organization’s history and its continued evolution to meet the needs of the community.
